ATLANTA, Georgia (Telemundo Atlanta) – A total of 14 people have been charged for the crime of Hispanic mother Rossana Delgado, whose body was found in the Georgia mountains in April 2021 following mysteriously disappearing in the Atlanta metropolitan area. .
The defendants in the murder of Delgado, 37, are Juan Antonio Vega, Calvin Harvard, Eva Martínez, Megan Colone, Juan Ayala-Rodríguez, Shawn Callaway, Patrick James Harvard, Terri Garner, Edwin Murillo, Óscar Manuel García, María Katherine Chávez Encarnación, Mario Alberto Barbosa-Juárez, Carolina Jazmín Rodríguez-Ramírez and Sean Maxwell.
Authorities on Thursday charged the group with “illegally committing acts of violence and obtaining money and property through the sale of drugs and illegal substances” and linked it to a Mexican drug cartel.
The body of Delgado, a Venezuelan who worked as a taxi driver, was found in a house in Cherry Log, a mountainous town in the north of the state, on April 20, four days following she disappeared, but she was not identified until later that month.
Encarnación, Barbosa-Juárez, Rodríguez-Ramírez and Maxwell remain at large, authorities said.
