In turn, fixed telephony recorded 22.31 million transfers between operators with the maintenance of the telephone number by its users. It is worth mentioning that exchanges must always be requested within the same service and within the reach of the same area code.
Number portability was established in the country by the General Portability Regulation (RGP) of the National Telecommunications Agency in 2007, with operator changes being released to everyone from 2008 onwards.
