Among those admitted, the police issued a temporary residence permit valid for 30 days to 20 people. During this time, they must visit the office of the National Directorate General of Immigration, which is competent for their place of residence, in order to obtain the final documents, the announcement states.
60 people, including 20 children, arrived in Budapest by train fleeing the war in Ukraine, the ORFK announced.
The Budapest Police Headquarters announced on the police.hu website that it is assisting refugees arriving by train from Ukraine with the Emergency Police. The Budapest Civil Guard Association also provides support in the tasks.
They are in constant contact with the National Directorate General of Disaster Prevention, the National Directorate General of Immigration, the Hungarian State Railways Ltd., the Budapest Transport Center, the Police Directorate of the Metropolitan Municipality, the Government Office of the Capital City of Budapest, as well as the staff of aid organizations, they wrote.
