More than 60,000 curious people for a new Book Fair at Palexpo

The reunion of the Book Fair with Palexpo, following three years in town due to the pandemic, satisfied the organizers. Around 61,000 people will have taken part in the five days of the Geneva meeting, they estimated on Sunday.

All generations will have come to dialogue with the authors. “The public has largely responded to the call and we are overwhelmed,” rejoiced the director and artistic director, Natacha Bayard and Nine Simon.

According to them, the success of this face-to-face edition confirms the attachment to live discussions. More than 600 authors took part, including the two guests of honour.

Meeting for the first time, Monica Sabolo and Joann Sfar spoke with the public but also with their counterparts. The publishers are also happy, note the organizers.

For two days, the Assises de l’édition brought together professionals. This device continues to show its important role to all stakeholders.

The organizers came out of these few days of the show reinvigorated. These confirmed that the meeting is ‘essential’ in this ecosystem, they also said.
