More than 500 artisans in the center of Neuquén, a week before the presidential election

The organizers have a group of between 80 and 90 members of the Neuquén Artisans Fair. Many of them receive visitors in their homes, although due to the call, the artisans and their familiess are installed in hostels and campsites in the capital. They come from Mendoza, Córdoba, Santa Fe, Santiago del Estero, Chaco, Misiones, there are families of artisans who come from Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Uruguay and Chile to be present next week in Neuquén.

«They come bringing their production, along with their culture and news, always surprising the Neuquén public that visits us and waits for us,” said Nancy Carlino, one of the spokespersons for the group organizing the meeting. There will be handmade basketry, shoemaking and textiles, ceramics with their different techniques, quality jewelry, mates, wood and educational games, as well as utilitarian ones fabrics and looms.

It will be a “wide repertoire for enjoyment and what we always say, ltaking a genuine piece from the artisan to the consumer, knowing how it is made, there is always a talk regarding how it was made, how the technique was added and in turn, how new twists in the work are incorporated with experience.”

As he explained, there is a new breed of artisans with a renewed imprint and traditional stallholders with innovative ideas, many of them obtained from exchanges at other fairs.

The opening will be at 6 p.m. Argentina Avenue will be made pedestrian between Alberdi and the train tracks and on the sides there will be art shows to the cap: digital painting, erography, portraits, artistic makeup, globology and art to the cap.
