The Russian-Ukrainian war has lasted for more than a month, and Russia’s attack operations have not been as smooth as expected, so new tactics have been introduced frequently. Foreign media pointed out that the governor of Zaporizhzhia (Zaporizhzhia) in central and eastern Ukraine said on the 26th that the Russian army intercepted more than 50 local evacuation buses, forcing thousands of people to stay at the Vasylivka (Vasylivka) checkpoint. There were 2 ambulances in the convoy carrying 3 children in urgent need of treatment, and the vehicles were insufficient, forcing the trapped people to have no access to water and food for the past 2 days.
According to the “Ukrainian Interfax News Agency”, Zaporozhye Governor Alexander Starukh (Oleksandr Starukh) said on the 26th that the convoy came from Mariupol, in southeastern Ukraine, which was hit by Russian troops. Violent shelling, 24th also reported that the city hall has been captured.
Later, the convoy passed through Vasilivka, south of the capital of Zaporozhye, but was intercepted by Russian troops. According to a public report, Ukrainian human rights monitor Lyudmyla Denisova pointed out that the Russian army’s move caused traffic jams for several kilometers, and the evacuated civilians in the car also starved and froze without water and food for two days.
CNN reported that Malibo mayoral adviser Petro Andriushchenko revealed that the Russian army held thousands of people evacuated by Malibo, where the environment was poor and there was no food and water. Andreeshenko claimed that these people will be taken to the Russian-controlled Donetsk region, and then captured in Russia.
“Any announced route of evacuation from Mariupol might be a potential trap, as there is no route into the city from government-controlled Ukraine,” Andreeshenko said. However, none of the above Andrishenko’s remarks has been confirmed.
