The first day of the Yo Como Festival in the Limay River edition might not have been more glorious.
Autumn embraced some 3,500 people yesterday, Saturday, who from noon to night passed through the Sandra Canale spa, in the capital of Neuquén, enjoying more than 15 gourmet options in all the trending gastronomic styles, both with meats and for vegan palates, vegetarian and healthy.
Today the party continues. From 12 to midnight. And the excellent weather promises to accompany everything that happens here with wonders.
How was the beginning of the Yo Como Festival
Around 6:00 p.m., Juan Braceli, one of the most popular figures of national cuisine, arrived at the Festival site, and basically aroused the enthusiasm of fans who wanted to take the typical selfie with the famous. He, also a master in communication, agreed with sympathy and serenity.
Before and following a constellation of chefs delighted with master classes and attention in their respective food trucks.
From Juan Solorza to Martín Jaccod through Cristian Alfaro, Sol Althabegoiti, Nahuel Sepúlveda, Jorgelina López and Claudio Abraham, among others, they starred in the scene that continues this Sunday from 12 to midnight.
“Happy to be here once more. I loved how everything was set ”commented Taté, the creator of GINA gin, hers since she is almost in front of the stage. Next to her, the Puricelli brothers with “Unico Vermouth” serving drinks. In front, the Méndez brothers, from Aluminé, with YUNTA, the gin that is being presented massively today in the capital of Neuquén.
The space in Salta Cautiva, with a spectacular view of Limay, was beautiful. He invites from his large living room to drink beer and enjoy the ride.
The creator of “Puerto Marisco” fascinated with the move, “so careful and sophisticated at the same time,” he described. At his stand he offered a tasting of “very maritime” empanadas that were finished immediately. Total success.
Voices at the festival that we listen to and share
Sol Althabegoiti, cook: “This Yo Como Festival revalues gastronomy and highlights the identity of each of the Neuquén regions. It is the first time in fifteen years of my career that, in addition to giving the talk, I have encouraged myself to install a food truck and the experience is extremely enriching. Let it happen once more”.
Nahuel Sepulveda: “This event is extremely enriching because it allows us to show and share what the north of Neuquén is. A large part of the people is moved by the flavors that each region offers and having this opportunity allows us to reflect our identity”.
Andrea Salvatori, from the Directorate of Gastronomic Events, from the Undersecretary of Tourism of Neuquén: “Seal of Distinction is a tourism quality program that constitutes the first quality tool designed and fully implemented by technical staff of the Ministry of Tourism of the Province of Neuquén, which distinguishes gastronomic establishments that offer visitors regional dishes made with their own ingredients. from the area. We came to accompany our gastronomy and to reward some of them”.
Carlos Puricceli, chef and entrepreneur: “The public came eager to try different cocktails and learn. There are many new trends around cocktails and many options to take the first steps. We started at noon and in the followingnoon we had to go looking for more stock. This is a success.”
The classes aroused a unique attention
The first class was given by Cristian Alfaro with Martín Jacobb Clavero; the second Sol Althabegoiti, the third Carlo Puricelli together with Tomás Funes and the fourth, at 7:30 p.m. Emmanuel Leiva, who cooked a rustic Milanese with quinces, oysters and burnt pepper sauce, gluten-free.
As the class progressed, the mayor of the city of Neuquén, Mariano Gaido, was surprised on stage, who, invited by the cook and those present, shared comments regarding this art that also moves the needles of local economies.
“We have opened the entire Limay River from Balsa Las Perlas to the confluence of the rivers. This type of event, such as the Yo Como Festival, ranks the city of Neuquén in a hierarchy and allows it to position itself as a quality gastronomic offer and offer the possibility of the city being a tourist option on the map,” the local president told this newspaper. .
Both had a sparkling dialogue, relaxed and in keeping with the tone and register of the event.
Then Juan Braceli took the stage, who cooked a mushroom risotto with lamb shank and gremolatta. A master of the scene. So many years in “Argentine Cooks” and presences in events throughout the country have given him an enviable histrionics. And this people appreciate and live.
Then came the performance of the Giroangular band and the intervention of DJ César Borra. Fans of the band won the front of the stage and on the third song they came out dancing with drinks in hand. Joy and total madness.
