COATICOOK. Four projects will benefit from the Living Environments Vitality Fund of the MRC of Coaticook. More than $315,000 will therefore be injected thanks to this program.

First, the City of Coaticook will receive a sum of $151,450 from the local envelope to proceed with the reconstruction of the municipal swimming pool. It will thus be able to maintain this important local service, clearly identified in the community.

An amount of $85,000, spread over a period of two years and coming from the territorial envelope, will be allocated to the Coaticook Medical Clinic for its modernization project. The objective is to support these actors in the sustainability of this essential service to the population. Staff retention is also a targeted objective.

The Coaticook MRC Volunteer Action Center will receive $70,000, of which $45,000 comes from the local Coaticook envelope. The money will be used to improve the organization’s kitchens, which are used for Meals on Wheels activities. This will also allow them to increase production capacity.

Finally, an amount of $8,900 will be given to the Municipality of Dixville for the purchase of equipment and furniture, which will be used to furnish a new community room. This will be located in the former residents’ gymnasium of the Dixville Home Foundation.
