More than 2,000 flood-affected families receive assistance in Ñeembucú

Asunción, IP Agency.- In a joint and coordinated effort, the Government has delivered a total of 624 aid kits, while the National Emergency Secretariat (SEN) has provided 1,553 food kits, adding a total of 2,177 families assisted so far in Ñeembucú.

The families affected by the floods in the Ñeembucú belong to several locations where the rainfall generated overflows in water channels. Many communities were isolated by flooding of roads.

  • St. John’s, St. John’s District: 300 kits – Thursday, April 25th
  • Ybabiyu, Guazucuá District: 70 kits – Friday, April 26
  • Yacaré Costa, Tacuaras District: 30 kits – Friday, April 26
  • Assistance to Recyclers and Collectors of the Pilar District: 157 kits – Friday, April 26
  • Tacuaras, Tacuaras District: 232 kits – Saturday, April 27
  • Apua Valley (San Baltazar Chapel), Pilar district: 52 kits – Saturday, April 27
  • Apua Valley (St. Isidro Chapel): 115 kits – Saturday, April 27th

The Government of the Department of Ñeembucú appreciates the collaboration of the National Emergency Secretariat (SEN) in this joint work to provide help to affected families throughout the department.

Likewise, the efforts of the Vice President of the Republic Pedro Alliana, the Director of the Binational Entity Yacyretá, Lic. Luis Benítez and the National Deputy Fabiana Souto stand out.
