More than 200 cares provided in indigenous communities in Upper Paraguay

Asunción, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Health communicated regarding the medical care promoted in the indigenous communities of Puerto Diana and Abundancia, department of Alto Paraguay, which reached more than 200 residents.

According to the report from the health portfolio, health professionals, in addition to carrying out consultations, delivered medications to the residents.

Teams from the XVII Health Region, Alto Paraguay, provided medical care in the indigenous communities of Puerto Diana and Abundancia. The health professionals, in addition to carrying out consultations, delivered medicines to the residents.

The sessions included delivery of fortified milk from the PANI program with growth and development monitoring.

The health teams proceeded to carry out vaccinations within the framework of the Winter Campaign (covid-19 and influenza) and the Regular Vaccination Scheme. Prenatal check-ups and family planning consultations were carried out with concierge services.

In Puerto Diana, 185 services were provided and in Abundancia 18, totaling 203 services in both communities.

The health authorities of the aforementioned department will continue to carry out similar extramural sessions in other communities in Alto Paraguay.
