More than 100 professionals, in the wellness workshop given by ASICOTUR

With the aim of instrumentalizing professionals in the tourism sector, a thematic workshop called ‘An Argentina of Well-being’ was held in the city of Buenos Aires and Termas de Rio Hondo.

In the aforementioned Workshop, marketing concepts were deepened in order to try to successfully insert the offer of this country in the international catalogs of health and wellness tourism.

Thanks to the support of INPROTUR, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Nation, the Entity of the City of Buenos Aires, the Argentine Chamber of Tourism, the Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies of Buenos Aires, together with the collaboration of experts from ASICOTURthis training meeting was carried out, where more than 100 participants were summoned.

Both days were dictated virtually by Ricardo Ramírez, international expert and member of the ASICOTUR board of directors, with the assistance in the room of Teresita Van Strate, delegate of Termatalia and Global Wellness Day in Argentina and Fabio Lazzerini, hydrological medicine consultant, health and wellness tourism.

It should be noted that the majority of the meetings were attended by representatives of destinations, business chambers, companies, travel agencies and universities.

During the presentation in both destinations, specific terminology for the treatment of the product was addressed; going through the definition of the target public and assembly of the offer, as well as from the business point of view, focusing on suggestions for public policies to improve people’s quality of life.

To end the Termas de Rio Hondo workshop, the president of Asicotur, Alejandro Rubin Carballo, who was participating in the BTL Fair in Lisbon, and the manager of the Ourensano Institute of Economic Development, Emma González, expert in Thermal Tourism and who else intervened from Portugal. 15 years in charge of projects of this type in Europe.

Asicotur has carried out this work of connection between public administrations and private institutions since its inception, guiding and accompanying these types of activities, thus becoming a benchmark for tourism cooperation worldwide.
