A Apple is working on iOS 16.4 development. This version, which had its second beta released recently for developers, delivers an important novelty for Brazilian users: the activation of 5G Non-Standalone (NSA), or “pure” 5G, as it is also known. The new standard should allow speeds from 1 gigabit per second (Gbps).
Maximum power
In your account at Twitter, user Vitor Gomes revealed that the second beta of iOS 16.4 allows the activation of “pure” 5G. The images show that the pattern can already be enabled in the device’s network settings, but not in all operators.
In fact, the option is available to customers of Vivo that use 5G chip or eSIM. At TIM, the feature also appears, but it cannot be activated with eSIM. Unfortunately, users of Clear still do not have access to 5G Non-Standalone, as the option is not even displayed.
AND. Finally, Apple brought 5G SA to iPhones in Brazil, at least at Vivo.

The new beta of the mobile operating system from Apple also arrived to rename the feature “VIVO Voice WiFi”, which is now just called “VIVO Wi-Fi”. This function allows you to send and receive SMS messages using the Wi-Fi network, eliminating the need for an operator signal.
At the moment, there is no information regarding when the Apple intends to release the final version of iOS 16.4, but when that happens, Brazilian iPhone users will have access to a considerably faster 5G connection, with numbers that should exceed the values offered by the DSS standard.
