Yesterday a source shared information regarding the alleged prices of Samsung’s Galaxy Watch6 family, and today another tipster on Twitter has more details regarding the smartwatches – and these have apparently been approved by Ice Universeone of the most famous leaksters.
Members of the Galaxy Watch6 family are all expected to sport thinner bezels and larger screens than their predecessors. They will be powered by the Exynos W930 chipset, built on a 5nm process. And they will all have 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. That’s half a GB more RAM than the previous generation.
The Galaxy Watch6 is said to have a 300mAh battery in its 40mm iteration (compared to 284mAh in its predecessor) and 425mAh for the 44mm model (which is up from 410mAh).
Surprisingly or not, both sizes of the Watch6 Classic will share capacities with the Watch6 – the 43mm model gets 300mAh and the 47mm version will have to make do with 425mAh.
That’s a far cry from last year’s Galaxy Watch5 Pro, which came with a relatively huge 590mAh cell, but there are still minor improvements across the board over the ‘vanilla’ Watch5 models.
Anyway, the colors that will launch most often in most markets around the world are supposed to be Graphite and Gold for the 40mm Watch6, and Graphite and Silver for the rest. As Samsung usually does, there will likely be more hues, each limited to a specific set of markets.
The Galaxy Watch6 family is expected to make its official debut in the last week of July at an Unpacked event hosted by Samsung in Korea, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy Z Fold5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series.
