In the northern Israeli coastal city of Haifa, doctors and nurses in overalls took to the streets on Saturday evening. They wore bright red stickers on their sleeves and chests. “There is no health without democracy,” it says. “Today I can’t actually stand anymore, my feet hurt,” says Meirav, a nurse who drove straight to the demonstration from her job in the hospital. “But I can’t just sit at home if they destroy our country.”
