In the followingnoon of Wednesday, April 24, a traffic accident was recorded in the Vereda Carrizales of the El Retiro municipality.
According to preliminary reports, a dump truck, presumably due to brake failure, collided first with a car and then with a house.
The emergency mobilized firefighters, who attended to the situation.
A total of 5 people were injured and were transferred to care centers in Rionegro with the support of an ambulance from the Concession and Envigado Fire Department.
Public order
The driver of the dump truck was rescued with vehicle extraction equipment.
We are awaiting the report on the state of health of both him and the other injured.
Risk management professionals from the El Retiro Mayor’s Office are evaluating the structural damage to the affected home, where obstruction of the water source occurred.
Fortunately, the two people who live there are safe and healthy.
As a preventive measure, they were temporarily relocated to relatives’ homes while the assessment of the damage caused by the accident is completed.
