Assumption, IP.- The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) has inspectors on the streets and has enabled the line 021-440-855 to report public transportation companies that charge more than 2,300 guaraníes for fares. They also announced that they will sanction lines that do not comply with the provision.
Last week, the President of the Republic, Horacio Cartes, ordered the reduction of the ticket to 2,300 guaraníes, which comes into effect this Tuesday.
“Companies that engage in these practices will be sued and risk losing their itinerary. In turn, the MOPC has inspectors on the street who will verify and sanction businessmen who do not comply with what was established by President Horacio Cartes to charge a fare of G. 2,300,” the minister stated this Tuesday in contact with 970 AM. of Works, Ramón Jiménez Gaona.
He stressed that inspectors are on the streets to control the price of the ticket. “The instruction is to identify those who do not comply and sanction them,” the Secretary of State finally explained.
