Moody’s Downgrades EFG International’s Credit Rating Outlook to ‘Negative’ amid Concerns over Structured Products

Zurich (awp) – The rating agency Moody’s now considers the outlook for EFG International’s “A3” credit rating “negative”, compared to “stable” so far. The filing rating was also maintained, at “A1”, but its outlook was raised to “positive”, the firm indicated in a press release on Tuesday.

Moody’s explains in particular that it has reconsidered the structured products issued by EFG International Finance (Guernsey). The adjustment further implies that the recently observed strengthening of the credit profile may not prove sustainable.
