Singer-songwriter and content creator Andy St-Louis saw her apartment heavily damaged by a fire Thursday evening in Montreal.
She assures that she is safe and healthy, although she admits to being exhausted.
The Quebec artist painted a portrait of the situation on social networks on Friday, in addition to sharing several photos of the damage that her home suffered.
She explains that the electrical box behind her house caught fire and that the flames spread into her apartment.
“The material damage seems to be limited to my kitchen and my bedroom, but there was water infiltration in the roof so there is a good chance that I will have to move temporarily for the next few months,” says Andy St- Louis.
Stating that she and her owner have home insurance, the singer specifies that she is not insured for the loss of income caused by the fire.
“My home studio, streaming and capsule setup was what brought me the majority of my salary, so I will probably be looking for a 4 1/2 type apartment (not a bedroom, not a studio , not a shared accommodation) in the area of Verdun,” she explains.
Andy St-Louis adds that she should know more on Monday regarding the duration of the work and the need, or not, to move.
By then, the artist has been relocated to the hotel by the Red Cross.
