A family man of Montreal had quite a scare when the vehicle in which his children were traveling was stolen late Thursday followingnoon.
The event occurred in Montreal North, around 6:50 p.m., following the man had left his 3-year-old and 11-year-old children in his SUV unsupervised while he went for an errand.
According to our information, he was going to a bank located at the intersections of Léger and Langelier boulevards. When he returned, his sport utility vehicle was missing.
After a call to 911, several police officers combed the scene of the event, then the children were quickly found, safe and sound near their home.
“The suspect dropped them off very close to the scene of the theft, so the children were able to walk to their home which was near the location,” said Sabrina Gauthier, spokesperson for the SPVM.
As of this writing, no arrests have been made in connection with this case.
