A driver was in critical condition on Saturday night following hitting shock absorbers on Highway 40 East near Boulevard Pie-IX in Montreal.
The accident occurred at around 9.45 p.m. at kilometer 76 of the highway, when the vehicle struck impact absorbers located at the exit for Pie-IX Boulevard and rolled over followingwards, the door said. – speech of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), Stéphane Tremblay.
He would then have hitched another vehicle, but no injuries were reported among the occupants of this car.
The driver suffered serious injuries and his life was feared in the late evening, when his passenger was transported to a hospital for still unknown injuries.
Firefighters were called on the scene to get the driver out of the vehicle using jaws of jail.
The A-40 east has been completely closed from Boulevard Saint-Michel, it was specified.
