The Montreal Canadiens might well experience another season of misery if we are to trust the projections of a surfer on Twitter who specializes in advanced statistics.
According to calculations by user JFresh, the CH would finish 31st in the League with only 69 points, two points more than the Chicago Blackhawks at the very bottom.

Such a scenario would give the Habs an excellent chance of getting their hands on another big-name prospect.
Forwards Macklin Celebrini and Cole Eiserman are the two headliners ahead of the 2024 draft.
Celebrini, a Canadian born in Vancouver, had 86 points, including 46 goals, in 50 games on the US Major Junior League (USHL) last season. Eiserman, an American born in Massachusetts, has amassed 44 points, including 28 goals, in 32 games in the American development program.
These projections are of course very preliminary, but bookmakers are hardly more optimistic regarding Canadians. FanDuel offers odds of +900 to anyone who wants to bet that the CH will make the playoffs, meaning that a $100 bet would return $900.
