An armed attack occurred Friday evening in the Montreal-North borough and claimed one victim.
A call was made to 911 around 9:20 p.m. Friday evening, reporting an assault with a weapon using a sharp object that allegedly occurred on avenue des Laurentides, near rue Sabrevois, according to Jane Drouin, door- word for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
The victim, a man in his twenties, was transported to a hospital with several serious injuries to the upper body, but conscious. His current condition was not yet known.
At least two suspects are said to have fled before the arrival of the police, who erected a protected scene at the scene.
The surveillance cameras will be studied and the victim questioned to determine the causes and circumstances of the event.
