**Archyde:** Captain Savanier, thank you for taking the time to speak with us today. Following the recent match against Le Puy, a video surfaced of an exchange with a Le Puy fan which resulted in notable public criticism. Can you tell us what happened from your viewpoint?
**Savanier:** The match itself was obviously disappointing. We were all frustrated with the result. During the game, I was preparing for a corner kick when a fan made a comment about our league standing. My response was out of line and unprofessional. I let my emotions get the better of me.
**Archyde:** The comment, “when you’re earning 210,000 euros a month…no,” was perceived by many as suggesting a lack of empathy towards the fans’ concerns.Do you understand why your words sparked such a strong reaction?
**Savanier:** Absolutely. Looking back, I understand why my words were hurtful and insensitive. I was caught in the heat of the moment and didn’t think about the impact of my comment. It was a mistake, and I take full duty for my actions.
**archyde:** You’ve as issued a public apology. How do you hope to repair the damage done and rebuild trust with the Montpellier fans?
**Savanier:** My primary focus right now is demonstrating my commitment to the club on the pitch. I want to show through actions, not words, that I am dedicated to helping us turn things around. I also apologize to my teammates and the coaching staff whose work is being overshadowed by this situation.
**Archyde:** Montpellier HSC issued a statement distancing themselves from your comments, stating they don’t reflect the values of the club. How would you describe the club’s culture and values?
**Savanier:** Montpellier HSC is a club built on hard work, passion, and respect. We are a family, and we support each other through thick and thin. This incident was a setback for me personally, but it hasn’t shaken my belief in what this club represents.
**Are Savanier’s actions simply a lapse in judgment, or do they reflect deeper issues within the club? we want to hear your thoughts.**
