A 6-year-old child, named Elhana, died of cardiac arrest in the emergency room of Montauban hospital on December 21. A judicial investigation once morest X has been opened by the prosecutor.
Terrible drama in Montauban. On December 21, Elhana, a 6-year-old girl, died in the emergency room of the hospital in Montaubanin Tarn-et-Garonne, following going to the emergency room for the first time, those of the Toulouse-Purpan hospital this time, on December 19.
During this first visit, nothing was detected during examination. The little girl and her parents were sent home, but her symptoms of fever, cough and difficulty breathing were not going away.
The girl’s parents then decided to return to the emergency room, but too late. Elhana succumbed to a heart attack caused by an “advanced severe infectious syndrome”, according to the autopsy carried out.
The family of the young victim filed a complaint once morest X, believing that the nursing staff must have committed shortcomings that led to Elhana’s death.
On Wednesday January 11, the Montauban prosecution opened a judicial investigation once morest X, to investigate the brutal death of the young girl.
