Saint James is the patron saint of Highlanders. The town of Alto Mijares celebrates it with religious acts and with the complement of the multitudinous interpeñas. The organization is in charge of the Junta de Interpeñas together with the consistory, who have worked so that the fun, the good atmosphere and the music quality is the hallmark.
This afternoon will be celebrated, in the church of San Jaime de Montanejosa mass in honour of the patron saint and the subsequent procession through the streets of the town, attended by the municipal corporation representing the residents.
The party will arrive on Saturday the 27th Interpeñas to bring together all the winegrowers and celebrate Saint JamesThat’s why Interpeñas was created in 2019 with the aim of organising a fun day for everyone. The day will feature a performance by Mangani Boys from 7:00 p.m. and in the evening the La Flama orchestra.
