The bear, a female, was probably looking for food, although Mike Pilati, who lives in Red Lodge in southern Montana, said he left no food in his blue Subaru.

“From time to time, we heard a crack. I thought he was chewing on a garbage can or something. In fact, it was my car that he was chewing on.added Mike Pilati.

Exit grunting

After the discovery of the hairy intruder, Mike and his wife Maria called the sheriff but the latter, not understanding the urgency of the situation, told them that specialized agents would come the next day.

To free the animal, Mike Pilati then took his courage in both hands and opened the door with the help of a shoe horn. “The Bear Came Growling”he says.

The koala, a charming teddy clinging to its tree and threatened with extinction

A video captured the scene and then the reunion of the bear with her two cubs who were nearby. Result of the races: a ceiling ripped off with claws, a chewed-up dashboard, a fractured windshield and above all… a tenacious smell. “Bears are smelly creatures”assures Mike Pilati – that we hope well insured.
