The National Transitional Council (CNT) shared Sunday the calendar relating to the electoral process of the transitional power.
With this last action, the members of the CNT hope to help the public and the organizations of civil society, the parties and political groupings signatories of the agreement of August 30, 2021 to better understand the steps in progress for the choice of personalities to integrate the ‘Two-headed executive (Presidency and Primature).
Thus, the deadline for the designation of candidates selected by civil society and political parties to the CNT via the BSA is set for Monday, January 17, as is the publication of the electoral regulations.
The publication of the final results, following the debates and ballots will take place on January 31st.
However, the date of the inauguration of the new leaders chosen within the framework of the Montana Accord, reinforced by the PEN, has not yet been fixed. According to former senator Youri Latortue, the promoters of the two agreements are counting on a national consensus and a general mobilization to start the disruptive transition.
