The manager of Mont-Sainte-Anne, Resort of the Canadian Rockies (RCR), “threatens” these subscribers that they will no longer be able to buy a new subscription if payment is not made.

“Please note that you will not be able to purchase a new 23-24 subscription before paying for the 22-23 one. You have also lost the benefit of buying online and will now have to buy your subscription at the counter of our customer service department,” reads an email.

On December 16, a few days after a gondola fell, the RBQ demanded that all lifts be stopped.

The next day, December 17, RCR offered reimbursement for the unlimited season and weekly subscription. However, people have chosen to dispute the transaction through their credit card, which seems to displease RCR.

Claim

“Despite several requests from us, you still have not repaid your 22-23 subscription,” writes the manager who is claiming more than $1,000 from a client who only skied one day, November 29, 2022.

“I contacted them and they refuse to review their position,” said Monique Drolet. “They lost two customers. Hoping that one day we can talk about this manager in the past tense, ”she added.

It should be noted that the subscribers concerned were not reimbursed twice by their credit provider and by the station.

Other plan subscribers The pass, for night skiing, received the same email. “I am ready to pay for the only trial evening I did at Stoneham, but not for an unused subscription”, explains another skier, who did not want to be identified in the hope of getting there. to an agreement.

“Loyal Customers”

“With this behavior, RCR will continue the long descent of its revenues by attacking its most loyal customers. A company that is seriously considering reinvesting in its business would absolutely not behave in this way,” said the president of the group Les Amis of Mont-Saint-Anne, Yvon Charest.

For subscribers who waited for the reopening in January, an amount of 15% could be recovered in gift cards or future credit, but the procedures were long.

“We had to ask and ask again and we received it two weeks from the end of the season. It’s a way of forcing us to come back. It’s ordinary but not surprising, ”laments Johanne Navennec.

RCR did not respond to our interview request.
