Monsoon rains will continue in the country from September 2 to 5, NDMA Advisory – Pakistan

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an advisory. According to which the monsoon rains will continue across the country from September 2 to 5, there is a risk of flooding and urban flooding in low-lying areas.

According to the National Emergencies Operation Center, Monsoon rains are likely to continue throughout the country from September 2 to 5, 2024. Under the system, northeast Punjab is likely to receive moderate rains. Light rains are expected in Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Islamabad including Potohar.

Light to heavy rain is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Malakand and Hazara Divisions, Peshawar. Areas of Balochistan including Kalat Division, Quetta, Pashin and Kirthar and Mount Sulaiman are also likely to experience light to heavy rain.
