Monsoon begins in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, rain breaks the heat – Pakistan

Monsoon has started in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, heavy rains in different cities have caused a fire, heat stress has been broken due to rain, power has been suspended in many areas due to tripping of several feeders while floods in rivers and canals. Due to this, the roads were flooded.

The rain in various districts of Punjab including Lahore reduced the heat, following the rain the severity of the fever also decreased.

The strong winds accompanied by heavy rains have broken the pressure of the rising humidity and intense heat, but water logging and power outages following the rains are causing a double doom to the citizens.

Rain is continuing intermittently in various districts of Punjab, Khanpur, Farooqabad, Toba Tek Singh, Pakpattan and Borewala were hit by heavy rain.

In Khanpur, heat stress was broken by rain with strong winds, power was suspended in many areas due to tripping of several feeders.

The weather has become pleasant in Farooqabad city and its surroundings, while the rain is continuing intermittently in Wahari as well.

It rained in Toba Tek Singh also, the weather became pleasant, the main cities started presenting the scene of rivers and canals.

Heavy rains paralyzed the life system in Pakpattan city and its surroundings, many feeders tripped, power supply was suspended while highways leading to Dargah Baba Farid were submerged.

In Borewala, the rain submerged streets and neighborhoods in the city and suburbs, rain water entered houses and shops, several feeders tripped, plunging the city and villages into darkness.

The highest rainfall in Punjab was recorded at 82 mm in Jhang, 67 mm in Bahawalnagar, 61 mm in Bhakkar, 40 mm in Rawalpindi and 30 mm in Faisalabad.

According to the Meteorological Department, rain will continue for the next few days.

The recent rains and strong winds have broken the heatwave and the weather has become quite pleasant, while the Meteorological Department has predicted more rains.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

In most of the districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar, the heat wave was broken by rain, the weather became pleasant due to raining clouds.

According to the Meteorological Department, 11 mm of rain was recorded in Saidu Sharif, 6 mm in Takhtbai, 5 mm in Balakot and Malam Jabba.
