Monsignor Dieudonné Mouloungui Moussavou writes an essay on the Gabonese transition –

The book entitled ”August 30, 2023 or the strategic lessons of the Gabonese transition” was presented to the general public by its author, Mgr Dieudonné Mouloungui Moussavou, also parish priest of the Immaculate Heart of Mary parish, this Tuesday during a ceremony within the said parish, in Nzeng-Ayong, in the 6th district of Libreville.

The book is an essay, 62 pages long, divided into 3 chapters, which offers a deep reflection on the Gabonese political transition, seen from the subjective and unusual angle of a layman in politics and which is distinguished by a rather civic approach to politics, in this period of transition where the expectations of the populations are particularly high.

“It is necessary to consider, according to political science, that political actors are not only those who are involved in the government or in political parties, but that every citizen must be considered a political actor. This is a bit of a perspective that we want to try to bring to the events that we have been experiencing in Gabon since August 30, 2023.”declared Bishop Dieudonné Mouloungui Moussavou.

According to the author’s analysis, it is important to adopt a strategic perspective to understand the events that have punctuated the life of the nation since August 30, 2023, from various angles: political of course, but also from an economic, social, etc. perspective.

In this case, that of the Gabonese transition“we have tried to demonstrate that the strategy is indeed there because the transition underway can be considered as a well-organized system, with a purpose. And this purpose is clearly established in the charter that was published the day after August 30, 2023, based on the restoration of institutions and the refoundation of the Gabonese State.”the Bishop supported

At the same time, the work highlights the concern for strategic planning of the actions of the Gabonese transition, inspired by the great world powers through the history of political ideas in the concert of nations. “If Gabon really wants to join this concert of great nations, since we are opening a new page in our history, we must adopt and consolidate the strategic planning approach in everything that is done and programmed.”suggests the priest of the Immaculate Heart of Mary parish of Nzeng-Ayong.

”August 30, 2023, where the strategic lessons of the Gabonese transition”the book is currently available in two parishes: Cœur Immaculée de Marie, Saint Pierre and Saint Luc de Bikélé, at the single price of 12,500 CFA francs.
