Monsalve rules out armed attack on aircraft fighting forest fires | National

The Undersecretary of the Interior ruled out attacks on aircraft that are fighting the emergency in the south of the country. He affirmed that no institution has a record or denounces regarding this fact.

After the National Disaster Risk Management Committee (Cogrid) of this day, the Undersecretary of the Interior, Manuel Monsalve, ruled out armed attacks on aircraft that fight the current emergency due to forest fires in the south of the country.

During his speech, the authority referred to the background revealed by national media, regarding the fact that “some aircraft that fight fire have been hit by shots from this type of weapon,” according to a document signed by the General Directorate of National Mobilization of Chile (DGMN).
