Monkeypox case in elementary school in Korneuburg district

A teacher at an elementary school in Stockerau (Korneuburg district) is said to have tested positive for the monkeypox virus. That reports the district newspaper. The teacher is therefore separated and has to be in quarantine for 21 days.

As the Online edition meinbezirk.at reported, the parents of the students concerned are said to have already been informed. “The infected person is at home, the school is open,” informs the city office director Christina Pinggera. It cannot be ruled out that another infection may have occurred, but it is very unlikely.
