Monkeypox .. 10 reasons for transmitting infection from an infected person

On Wednesday, the World Health Organization issued a statement recommending interim guidance for countries to strengthen surveillance and investigation of monkeypox cases, contact tracing and treatment, to break chains of transmission and stop the outbreak.

And the World Health Organization revealed, during its statement, 10 reasons that can transmit disease and infection from an infected person to others.

Methods of transmission of monkeypox infection

1-People infected with monkeypox are contagious when symptoms appear.
2- Close physical contact with a person showing symptoms.
3- Skin rash
4- Body fluids such as pus or blood
5- Scales are especially contagious
6- Clothes, bedding, or towels
7- Food utensils contaminated with the virus
8- It is transmitted through saliva
9- People who come into close contact with an infectious person.
Including health workers, family members and sexual partners, they are at higher risk of infection.
10- From the pregnant woman to the fetus or to the child during childbirth

Monkeypox is a zoonotic viral disease that can be transmitted from animals to humans and can also spread between people through close contact with an infected person.

Symptoms of monkeypox usually include a rash or lesions, fever, severe headache, muscle aches, back pain, loss of energy, and swollen lymph nodes.
