Kuwait City: The Ministry of Interior is preparing to strictly monitor social media in Kuwait. Officials said they are monitoring social media accounts that violate public morals or defame civil servants, including civil servants.

The Ministry of Interior’s General Directorate of Security Relations and Media said that officials and security forces are entitled under the law to be protected from defamatory remarks in the course of their duties.
