Premium for the purchase of an electric bicycle, exceptional unlocking of an employee savings plan… several advantages will end with the transition to the new year. Don’t wait any longer to enjoy it!
December 31, 2022 will sound the death knell for certain devices. To benefit from it, it is therefore necessary to take action now. From savings to financial boosts, these are four advantages that can still be obtained, but which will cease as soon as the new year begins. Here are which ones.
1. It’s time to go to the pump!
The government rebate on fuel prices already fell on November 16, from 30 cents to just 10 cents. From January 1, 2023, this last boost will disappear, raising fears of a further increase in prices at the pump, all fuel categories combined.
Nevertheless, the government will set up a new device, this time intended for the most modest households. They may ask a bonus of 100 euros to reduce their fuel budget. According to the government, this payment should be equivalent to the current discount of 10 centimes per liter for a Frenchman who drives around 12,000 kilometers per year.

2. The exceptional release of an employee savings contract
As part of the law of August 16, 2022 on the protection of French people’s purchasing power, a measure aimed more specifically at employee savings has been put in place. Thus, company savings plans (or PEE) can be subject to exceptional early release of up to 10,000 euros, all without having to pay social security contributions and income tax. However, this release must be allocated to the purchase of goods or the payment of a service, and the employee concerned must keep proof of this in the event of a tax audit.
This nice boost still allows you to avoid waiting for the usual period of 5 years or one of the few cases of classic early release to recover your money without taxation, for example when buying your main residence. or the end of rights to unemployment benefits. However, this request must be made to your employee savings manager as soon as possible: the employees concerned have until December 31, 2022.
3. The bicycle bonus for greener mobility
For people who have the possibility of making some of their journeys by bicycle, the government offers financial assistance when purchasing an electric bicycle. But beware, it will disappear on December 31! However, there is still time to make this investment, the date of the purchase invoice being authentic.
This conversion bonus for the purchase of an electrically assisted bicycle (or VAE) is capped at 40% of the purchase price, with a limit set at 3,000 euros. There are nevertheless several conditions to benefit from it, starting with a binding consideration: an old diesel or gasoline vehicle must be sent for scrapping in exchange.
4. Last straight line to transfer your life insurance to a PER
French people who hold a life insurance contract for more than 8 years can request its transfer to a retirement savings plan (PER) until December 31. To be eligible for this change of investment medium, you must yourself be under 57 years old and make a full transfer. It is therefore impossible to keep part of his assets on his old life insurance contract.
This option left to savers is accompanied by a doubling of the tax allowance, which can thus reach 18,400 euros for a couple over the year 2022. However, the PER has certain specificities which must be taken into account, and in particular the fact that it is blocked until retirement in principle, apart from the few cases of early release.
