A Florida mother filed a lawsuit against the school her two sons attend after allegedly She was banned from volunteering in 2021 due to her account on the adult platform OnlyFans.
Victoria Triece, 31, filed the lawsuit against Orange County Public Schools last week, according to court documents. obtained by UPI. Ella is seeking more than $50,000 in years in “damages” and has demanded a jury trial.
Triece, whose children attend Sand Lake Elementary School, volunteered for five years in the school’s “ADDition” program, which recruits parents to help in various capacities, including assisting teachers in the classroom. classes, bulletin board design and tutoring, among other aids.
The lawsuit alleges that the school district violated Triece’s rights under the Florida Constitution to “life and liberty and the pursuit of happiness” as well as her rights to privacy.
“It is also about distributing adult material without the consent or permission of another. It clearly appears that the school board did this with malicious intent. They sent this to the media,” said Mark NeJame, Triece’s attorney, in an interview with the outlet.
NeJame said that the school district shared “private photos with OCPS staff and employees“, and revealed that Triece made a living sharing risqué content on OnlyFans.
He added that Triece never broke any laws. According to the lawsuit, the only disqualifying criteria for participating in the volunteer program is engaging in illegal activities.
Triece alleged in the lawsuit that she was told she could not be near the children or on school grounds without a written notice that described what made her ineligible to participate in the volunteer program and did not grant her any right to appeal.
“Kids never knew about all these things and parents never knew about all these things,” NeJame said.
“This is the equivalent of the scarlet letter of yore, where the morality police unilaterally said what is appropriate or inappropriate in your spare time. She wasn’t breaking the law and ended up being shamed as a result of it.”
NeJame added that the school district’s actions and the case could have ramifications for how schools may treat other parents.
