“Mom, shark! Get me out of here!”

It’s lobster season in Florida. Hrick, a 13-year-old fisherman, was holding a lobster in the water and was making his way to the boat when he suddenly felt something on his leg. “When I looked back, the shark was right in front of my face,” Fischer said in an interview with Fox 35. The nurse shark bit right away – right in his face. “It was scary, I was trying to run away, but it was so quick,” the boy told Orlando News 6. The brave boy grabbed the shark’s face and pulled it away before swimming screaming to the boat.

“He just showed up and yelled, ‘Mom, mom, shark! Get me out of here! Get me out of the water!’” said mother Rhiannon Hricko. “It was honestly the scariest five minutes of my life. Just hearing that horror in the child’s voice is something I can’t get out of my head.”
