A 31-year-old Moldovan citizen was arrested in Italy on charges of assaulting a police officer. Police officers responded to a call from a 29-year-old Italian man, whom a young woman had locked up because he refused to have intimate relations with her.

The incident occurred last weekend in Parma. The young people met through a dating app and spent the evening together. The couple had dinner at a restaurant, where the woman left quite tipsy. The situation worsened when they came to the house of a Moldovan woman – the man, contrary to the expectations of the hostess, refused to have sex. Then the woman, threatening him with a bottle, locked him up “to make him come to his senses.” The Italian had to turn to the police for help.

Police officers and a fire brigade arrived at the scene. But the woman refused to let law enforcement officers into the apartment – they were able to get into the house through the kitchen balcony using a ladder.

Seeing the police, the young woman fiercely resisted. She kicked and punched representatives of the law, threatening violence. One of the police officers was shot in the stomach and required medical attention.

After the situation calmed down a bit, the police handed the woman over to the emergency doctors. The Moldovan citizen was taken to the police station for identification, following which she was arrested for resisting and causing bodily harm to an officer during execution. In addition, she was accused of domestic violence, threats and refusal to provide information regarding her identity.
