Mojang Ceases Development of Minecraft Legends: Final Update and Future Support

2024-01-11 04:03:57

Mojang, the developer of the “Minecraft” series, announced that it will cease the subsequent development of “Minecraft Legends”.

Mojang stated on its official blog, “Since the launch of the game, we have listened to the feedback from the community and made a series of updates and adjustments to make the game better. Now that it is complete, we will stop development.”

The final update of this game, “Snow vs Snouts” and its costumes will be released this month. There will be no more content in the future, but the monthly free challenge of “Lost Legends” and official technical support (such as PvP, cooperative play and other connection mechanisms) will continue.

“Minecraft Legends” is jointly developed by Mojang Studios and Blackbird Interactive. Launched in April 2023, it is a strategic action game adapted from “Minecraft”.

However, soon following its launch, players reported that there was too little content, and the degree of freedom was not as good as “Minecraft”. However, if viewed as a strategy game, the operation is not as good as other RTS games. In addition, at the beginning of its launch, many players reported connection problems. As of today, this game has received more than 2,000 mixed reviews on Steam.
