“Mohammed bin Rashid University” concludes its participation in the “Estidha” program

On Friday, the “Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences” concluded its participation in the national “Our Ambassadors” program “Estidah” organized by the Ministry of Education. The medical section.

And the “Etidhda” program is a pioneering initiative by the Ministry, aimed at enhancing and enriching the capabilities of secondary school students, and providing them with basic knowledge and skills that will enable them to support their careers in various fields, including research and innovation skills, personal skills, creative sectors, entrepreneurship, diplomatic skills and others.

The university participated in the program, through the course of scientific research, over a period of two weeks, from July 25 to August 5, in which it helped participating students from the ninth to twelfth grades, from various public and private schools, to advance the knowledge and methodologies of scientific research. Its plan included an integrated program of educational experiences related to the medical and health sciences sector, including the three pillars of the academic health system: education, research and medical practice.

Dr. Laila Al-Suwaidi, Associate Dean for Student Happiness, and Assistant Professor of Molecular Hematology at the College of Medicine at the University, said, “The university’s participation in the Ethadha program confirms our firm commitment to enriching the knowledge of the next generation of students and providing them with the skills necessary to explore employment opportunities in various fields of medicine and health sciences. and preparing them for higher education.

The participants had a rich experience to learn regarding the importance of libraries in research, as the participating students made a digital visit to the “Al Maktoum Medical Library” of the university, and were provided with an account that allows them to access all the library’s resources and services. To develop their research skills, each participant provided access to the BMJ Publication Program and completed a training course in which they received a journal-accredited Certificate of Participation.
