The Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, topped the list of the highest paid players in Liverpool, following renewing his contract with the Reds Castle, and ensuring his continuity within the team for 3 years.
And the English newspaper “Daily Mail” revealed that Liverpool granted Mohamed Salah the highest salary in its history, at a value of 350 thousand pounds per week, to continue the successful career of the Egyptian pharaoh with the Reds, which began in 2017, coming from the Italian Roma.
Liverpool announced the renewal of Salah’s contract with the Reds, which expires in June of next year 2023, following issuing an official statement in which he stated, “Liverpool Football Club is pleased to announce that Mohamed Salah has signed a new long-term contract with the club.”
The Egyptian player has produced an outstanding performance for Jurgen Klopp’s side since joining from Roma in 2017, scoring 156 goals and 63 assists in 254 games which is absolutely exceptional.
According to Salah’s new salary, the highest paid is superior to his Dutch colleague Virgil van Dijk, who fell to second place with 220,000 pounds per week, while Thiago Alcantara came in third place with 200,000 pounds per week, then the trio of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino 180 thousand each.
