Mohammed Salah is the most successful football player from the Arab world. For the first time, the Liverpool FC striker commented on the situation in the Middle East. He called for humanitarian aid for Gaza and an end to the “slaughter.” But he did not mention the Hamas terrorist attack.
Football star Mohammed Salah from Liverpool FC has a video message on his Instagram account called for an end to the violence in the Middle East – but avoided naming the perpetrators.
There has been too much violence and too much brutality and it is painful to see the escalation in recent weeks, Salah said in the 51-second message on Wednesday. “I call on the leaders of this world to come together and prevent the further slaughter of innocent souls. Humanity must prevail.”
Salah failed to mention that Hamas had killed more than 1,400 Jews in a terrorist attack on the Saturday before last. Only following the massacres did Israel begin airstrikes once morest terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip, the consequences of which the 31-year-old now lamented.

Salah is not the only footballer who has not condemned the Hamas terror attack. Bayern professional Noussair Mazraoui shared a video on social networks wishing the Palestinians a victory over Israel. The 25-year-old shared a short clip in which a voice says in the style of a prayer: “God, help our oppressed brothers in Palestine to achieve victory. May God give mercy to the dead, may God heal their wounded.”
Those responsible at FC Bayern have now summoned the Moroccan international for a report.
