Since the last one or two years, modular helmets have been sought after by Indonesian consumers, especially those who like long-distance touring. In fact, many sales of SMK Helmets in Indonesia are contributed by this product.
Avant Tjen, Sales & Marketing Director of PT Prakarsa Bangun Sarana as the SMK Helmet distributor, said that modular helmets offer convenience for motorbike riders who like touring. This is because the head safety can be adjusted according to the user’s needs.
He explained that for a year in Indonesia, SMK Helmet had sold many modular helmets through Gullwing products. This flip-up style head restraint is claimed to be suitable for touring because of its features and air ventilation.

“SMK Helmet, especially the SMK Gullwing model, is currently much sought after by consumers because the Gullwing is modular, European Style but the price is affordable. Gullwing is indeed our flagship model,” said Avant Tjen in his official statement, Wednesday (20/11).
Gullwing is a modular helmet for motorbike riders and everyday commuters. The head guard has a dynamic outer shell design. With dual P/J homologation, the Gullwing can be used as an open helmet and a full-face helmet.
For the record, SMK Helmet is a helmet brand from India that entered Indonesia last year. They offer a number of model choices, ranging from half face, full face, to modular.
The products they market have obtained DOT, SNI and ECE 22.06 licenses. SMK Helmet also presents models made from carbon composite, polycarbonate and fiber glass.
“We are grateful to customers in Indonesia who have high interest in SMK Helmet. In the future we will be committed to continuing to bring products full of innovation that exceed consumer expectations,” he said.

The Helmets That Make You Feel Like a Superhero
Welcome to the thrilling world of modular helmets in Indonesia! It seems like these fancy helmets are not just a fashion statement, but also a necessity for those long-distance road warriors. Who knew that when you strap on a modular helmet, you’d be one step closer to feeling like you’ve got your own superhero alter-ego? Well, that’s what the good folks at SMK Helmets are banking on.
Avant Tjen, their Sales & Marketing Director, claims that these helmets aren’t just protective headwear; they’re a convenience for motorbike riders who fancy a bit of touring. That’s right folks, no longer do you have to choose between safety and comfort. Now you can have your cake and eat it too! Modular helmets are like the Swiss Army knives of the helmet world—versatile, handy, and probably capable of opening a bottle of wine if you try hard enough.
According to Tjen, the Gullwing model from SMK has taken the market by storm. And why? Well, aside from its flip-up design that allows you to enjoy the breeze on your face and, let’s be honest, show off a little bit while stopping for petrol, it’s also got solid air ventilation. Let’s face it, nobody wants to rip off their helmet and look like they’ve been doused in a bucket of sweat after a little ride.
Now, here’s a fact for your next pub quiz: the Gullwing isn’t just stylish, it’s also practical. It can function both as an open helmet and a full-face helmet, thanks to its dual P/J homologation. You can go from “look at me, I’m a cool rider!” to “please don’t talk to me, I’m in deep thought!” in less than a second. And given the helmet’s European style at a decent price, it’s clear why Indonesian consumers can’t resist.
For those of you still confused, let me clarify something: SMK Helmet is an Indian brand that has made its grand entrance to the Indonesian market just last year. They’re not just throwing their helmets at the wall and seeing what sticks—they’ve got options ranging from half face to full face, modular and everything in between. It’s like a buffet of head protection.
These helmets have also passed a series of rigorous safety tests, with licenses including DOT, SNI, and ECE 22.06. And they’re not cutting corners either—models made from carbon composite, polycarbonate, and fiberglass are all on offer. Because when it comes to safety, we don’t compromise, right?
“We are grateful to customers in Indonesia who have high interest in SMK Helmet,” Tjen declared, sounding rather like a proud parent reminiscing about their child’s first piano recital. Yes, let’s give a round of applause for high consumer interest—after all, that’s what keeps these innovations rolling in. And they’re committed to continuing this trajectory, promising a future filled with innovative products that will hopefully exceed consumer expectations. Because if you’re not exceeding expectations, what’s the point of wearing a modular helmet anyway?
