Modi’s picture to be removed from vaccine certificates in 5 states | Narendra Modi | Vaccine Certificate

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s image will be removed from the Kovid vaccination certificate in five states, according to a report. The film will be exempted from the certificates of Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Manipur and Uttarakhand where the Assembly elections are being held. This is in view of the fact that the Code of Conduct for Elections has come into force in these states.

News agency PTI quoted official sources as saying that the Union Health Ministry would take necessary steps to remove Modi’s image from the vaccine certificate through the Covin app. The Ministry of Health had taken such action in March 2021, when elections were held in five states, including Kerala.

The action was taken on the instructions of the Election Commission following complaints from some political parties. Elections will be held in five states from February 10 to March 7 in different phases. The counting of votes is on March 10 everywhere.
