Now amid the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, in light of the video going viral once more, the Indian Army released another statement saying, ‘In light of the recent Lok Sabha elections, an old video from the year 2019 has surfaced on social media. Being spread maliciously across platforms. The purpose of which is to defame the Indian Army. This video is from the last election in which regimental center troops went to vote en masse. This propaganda was spread by a few people of that time.
The statement further said that ‘necessary disclaimer has been issued following investigating the facts. The video has resurfaced and is being circulated maliciously. Everyone is requested not to heed this message as it may give a wrong image of the army.’
