The delivery, in September 2023, of a new fully equipped 100 square meter building – equipped in particular with a new vacuum system and an enlarged wood workshop – is part of the modernization of the company, while while maintaining its artisanal techniques. Managing a larger stock, reducing delivery times, improving services to its 200 resellers and producing high-end knives at mainstream prices: all of this is part of the ambitions declared by the general manager. “In the summer of 2024, visitors will be able to better appreciate the work and gestures of the cabinetmakers. The manager recalls that the acquisition by the Forge group of Laguiole, in Rodez, in 1992, changed the situation for Coutellerie nontronnaise, starting with its new site, created in 2000. The company, which achieved a turnover of business of 1.27 million euros in 2021, relies on 20 employees and will hire two people by June 2024.
