Moderna will establish a sales subsidiary in Belgium

US biotech company Moderna plans to establish a commercial presence in Belgium, as well as five commercial subsidiaries in Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland and Sweden.

The group is thus strengthening its “commitment to the European continent”. In Belgium, “the subsidiary will ensure a local presence to support the supply of vaccines and mRNA therapeutics”says Moderna.

Neither the date nor the location of the implantation are mentioned in the press release. However, the group says “Actively recruit a team to establish a strong presence in the market”.

40 development programs

Moderna’s expanded pipeline currently includes 40 development programs, 25 of which are in clinical trials. “The company continues to update its Covid-19 strategy to combat worrying variants such as Omicron and to develop new vaccines and treatments for a range of diseases and conditions”she explains.

The pharmaceutical group is present in 12 countries around the world and has announced plans to establish a commercial presence in ten other countries in Asia-Pacific and Europe in 2022.
