After Microsoft announced the Xbox Game Pass price increase months before Black Ops 6’s arrival on the subscription servicenew information has come to light claiming that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will also be arriving this month.
This information comes from Insider Gaminga medium specialized in leaks of various games in the industry, which was later corroborated by the medium Windows Central.
The arrival of Call of Duty franchise games to Game Pass is not at all strange or unexpected, especially following Microsoft spent almost $70 billion to acquire Activision Blizzard King following a long and tedious legal battle with regulatory bodies in the United States and the United Kingdom.
So far, Diablo 4 became the first Activision Blizzard game to join Game Pass when it was added to the subscription service in March. It is also expected to Crash Bandicoot N. Modern Warfare 3 coming to the service before big changes
On July 9, Microsoft finally announced the impending price increase for the various Xbox Game Pass tiers. Starting July 10, a new subscription tier called Xbox Game Pass Standard will be available, costing $14.99, which won’t include Day 1 games but will allow access to online play, and will be available starting in September.
Meanwhile, the Ultimate version will increase its price to $19.99 per month, PC Game Pass to $11.99 per month with no other relevant changes. However, the Game Pass version for consoles will no longer be available to new users, while those who maintain said active subscription will be able to keep it for the same price, according to their website.
All of this means that new base Game Pass users will receive the “Standard” tier, which means that starting in September of this year, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members will be the only tiers that will be able to enjoy games that arrive on the service on the same day of their launch.
So make sure you choose the right Game Pass tier if you want to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on launch day when it arrives on October 24, 2024.
