Kapsch TrafficCom supplies a national system for controlling and monitoring traffic signals
Vienna/Stockholm (OTS) – Kapsch TrafficCom was selected by the Swedish transport authority Trafikverket to carry out a renewal of the nationwide traffic light control system.
This project is a crucial step in the further development of the country’s traffic management. As part of the agreement, Kapsch TrafficCom will improve the efficiency and reliability of Sweden’s traffic signal control system through state-of-the-art technology that will be integrated into Trafikverket’s existing infrastructure.
The EcoTrafiX™ control software is managed through two existing control centers: one in Stockholm, responsible for the northern and eastern regions of Sweden, and the other in Gothenburg, responsible for the south and west.
